Welcome to Sapphire Beach
Sapphire Beach sits on the East End of St. Thomas and looks straight across to St. John and the British Virgin Islands. The sand is soft, the water is clear and usually calm in the morning, and there is reef snorkeling a short swim from shore.
You can spend a whole day here without a car. The beach bar, a coffee shop, a pizza place, and the marina are all on the property. Red Hook, with groceries, restaurants, and the St. John ferry, is about five minutes away.
We own every condo on this site and look after them ourselves. When you write to us, you hear back from the owners, usually within a day. Guests rate us 4.91 out of 5 across more than 360 Airbnb reviews.

On the property
The beach, the beach bar, a coffee shop, a pizza place, and the marina. For boat trips we send guests to Sonic Charters, and to Double Header for fishing.
Red Hook, 5 minutes by car
Groceries, about a dozen restaurants and bars, and the St. John ferry. Our favorites are Island Time Pub, Pesce, and Easterly.
St. John, about 20 minutes by ferry
Trunk Bay and the trails of Virgin Islands National Park. For dinner we like Extra Virgin and La Tapa, and Beach Bar for live music.
Power and getting around
The Sapphire House studios have a generator, so an island outage won’t cost you your air conditioning. There is a taxi stand at the resort, though most guests rent a car.
